- Shape the future of KFC's restaurant network across Australia and New Zealand
- Partner with senior leaders to influence high-impact investment and development decisions
- Flexible hybrid working environment, with 2 days per week based in our Frenchs Forest office
We’re looking for a commercially minded Network Market Planner to help shape KFC’s network growth strategy across Australia and New Zealand. In this role, you’ll use market, demographic, competitor and location intelligence data to identify development opportunities, assess trade areas and provide recommendations that influence where KFC invests, develops and grows its restaurant network.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in network planning, location strategy or property economics who enjoys understanding what makes locations successful and how markets evolve. You'll combine data, commercial thinking and market insights to help answer one of KFC's most important strategic questions: where should we grow next?
- Own and evolve KFC's Network Market Plan, identifying opportunities for new restaurants, relocations and network growth across Australia and New Zealand.
- Use GIS and location intelligence tools such as GapMaps and Geotech to analyse markets and identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct market, demographic, competitor, trade area and site analysis to support strategic development decisions, including new restaurants, relocations, expansions and emerging concepts.
- Partner with Development leaders to shape KFC's long-term network strategy and recommend future restaurant locations.
- Analyse Retail Gravity Models, customer origin surveys and market performance data to provide commercial insights and support strategic planning.
- Maintain and enhance market planning databases, reporting and automation processes, while managing relationships with key GIS, modelling and pipeline tracking partners.
- Prepare recommendations and business cases for senior stakeholders, including the Investment Committee.
- Collaborate with Franchisees and cross-functional teams to support KFC's restaurant development pipeline.
ABOUT YOU
- Degree qualification in Economics, Business, Property, Data Science or a related field.
- Experience in network planning, retail development, location strategy, property economics or a similar role.
- Experience using GIS and location intelligence tools (e.g. GapMaps).
- Understanding of retail networks, trade areas and customer behaviour within a competitive market.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting economic, demographic and market data to support decision-making.
- Ability to communicate insights and influence stakeholders.
