Video Editor with Graphic Design Skills

KIK is looking for a capable and creative Video Editor with graphic design skills to join our team in Darwin.

This is a hands-on production role focused primarily on creating television commercials and engaging short-form video content. You will work with a wide variety of supplied footage, photographs, graphics and other visual assets to produce polished content for clients across a broad range of industries.

The role is ideally suited to someone who is comfortable working independently, managing their own projects and making sound creative decisions while following established briefs, brand guidelines and production processes.

About the role

Working from KIK's modern Darwin office, you will be responsible for taking projects from supplied assets through to completed video content.

Your work will include:

- Editing television commercials and short-form promotional videos
- Creating content from a combination of video footage, still images, graphics and supplied assets
- Designing titles, layouts, graphics and simple motion graphics
- Selecting music, sound effects and appropriate visual treatments
- Colour correcting, audio balancing and preparing final outputs
- Managing multiple projects and meeting production deadlines
- Working independently while communicating clearly with the wider team
- Following KIK's established production processes and quality-control systems
- Organising project files and maintaining accurate records within our backend systems

About you

You will have a strong eye for composition, timing, typography and visual storytelling,



along with the technical skills needed to deliver professional work efficiently.

You should have:

- Demonstrated video-editing experience
- Graphic design skills and a good understanding of typography and layout
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
- The ability to turn varied footage and still images into clear, engaging content
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to interpret a brief and work independently
- A reliable, practical and solutions-focused approach
- The confidence to manage several projects at different stages of production

Experience producing television commercials, social-media content or other short-form advertising material would be highly regarded.
