The North West Maternity Service (NWMS) delivers comprehensive maternity care across North West Regional Hospital, Mersey Community Hospital, and community outreach services.
Team
The role is based in our Outpatients Maternity Service, covering antenatal care and postnatal care in the community across multiple facilities.

Role

Responsibilities
- Provide advice, care, and support to women during pregnancy, birth, and postnatal period including newborn care
- Show initiative, adapt to change, and respond promptly
- Remain resilient and calm under pressure
- Strengthen health outcomes through protected, quality, clinically appropriate midwifery care in partnership with women, families, and other health professionals
Appointment Details
- Multiple permanent full‐time and part‐time positions, day worker, up to 76 hours per fortnight (hours negotiable)
- Commencing as soon as possible; selection process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from date of publication
Salary
$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (pro rata). 12% superannuation contribution on top. Salary range follows Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Eligibility
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife
- Working with Children Registration
