Permanent cleaning position, working daily split shift, 5 days a week. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors. As part of our school community, you will play an significant role in ensuring our facilities are presented to a high standard and provide a healthy learning environment for everyone.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.79FTE), 60 hours per fortnight.

Cleaning & Maintenance

- Clean windows, doors, sinks, drinking fountains, toilets, sick bays, glassware, cupboards
- Dust furniture and equipment
- Sweep, vacuum, and maintain floors (vinyl/timber buffing, stripping, polishing)
- Remove cobwebs, mildew, graffiti
- Clean outdoor surfaces (concrete, asphalt, paved areas)




- Dispose of rubbish and manage litter control
- Clear drains and gutters

Equipment & Supplies

- Maintain cleaning equipment
- Coordinate with the Business Manager to purchase or replace cleaning materials

Security

- Lock/unlock buildings
- Activate/deactivate school security systems
- Report safety, security, or damage issues

Communication

- Report issues to the Business Manager
- Direct visitors or public enquiries to appropriate school staff

Other Duties

- Carry out additional cleaning tasks as directed
- Assist with maintaining a safe and hygienic school environment

Requirements

- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (required to work with children in Queensland)
- Must pass a criminal history check
