About the Role

As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality culinary experiences that align with our hotel’s commitment to excellence. This hands‑on position requires working in a safe, efficient, and hygienic manner while upholding the exceptional food standards our guests expect.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook food items as directed, including baking, pastry, and butchery tasks.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times.




- Minimise food wastage through efficient preparation and storage practices.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and WH&S; guidelines.
- Support senior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Maintain professional grooming and presentation standards.
- Build positive relationships with colleagues across departments.
- Stay informed about food products and culinary trends.

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or hospitality environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WH&S; practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and follow instructions.
- A proactive, team‑oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Formal culinary training or relevant certifications (desirable).
