Receptionist (Full time) – Wayville

Headstart is a growing private practice providing Psychology, Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy services across our Wayville and Gawler locations. We specialise in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and are committed to delivering exceptional client care in a warm, collaborative environment.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Receptionist/Medical Administrator to join our friendly team at our Wayville practice on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy healthcare environment, enjoys helping people, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service and administrative support.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our clients and families, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing incoming telephone calls and client enquiries
- Scheduling appointments across multiple clinicians and practice locations
- Processing and coordinating referrals from GPs, Paediatricians and other healthcare professionals
- Sending appointment confirmations and related correspondence
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date referral and client records
- Supporting clinicians with bookings and administrative requirements
- General reception and office administration duties
- Providing excellent customer service to clients, families and referrers

About You





To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Previous medical administration experience (essential)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- The ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm in a busy environment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- A current Driver's Licence
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable

- Experience using Prac Suite practice management software

Reporting Structure

The successful applicant will report directly to the Practice Manager.
