Our client is a large and highly regarded healthcare organisation that supports thousands of employees across multiple sites. Currently undergoing significant payroll and digital transformation, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader / Senior Payroll Professional to provide hands on leadership and operational support during a critical period of change.

Your new role

This is an initial 3 month contract with strong potential for extension and future opportunities within the broader payroll function. Working closely with the Acting Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll continuity while supporting the team through new system adoption and process improvements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and helping teams navigate change.

- Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across weekly and monthly pay cycles
- Supporting day-to-day payroll operations and providing operational leadership to the team
- Assisting with the reduction of outstanding payroll queries and improving response times
- Troubleshooting complex payroll issues and providing practical solutions
- Supporting payroll reconciliations, compliance activities, audits and back-pay calculations
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives, documentation and knowledge sharing




- Supporting the ongoing implementation and adoption of new payroll and HR systems

What you'll need to succeed

- Previous experience as a Payroll Manager, Senior Payroll Officer or Senior Payroll Coordinator
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience within a large and complex organisation
- Demonstrated ability to resolve payroll issues and manage high volumes of payroll queries
- Strong stakeholder engagement and people leadership skills
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
- Exposure to payroll transformation projects or system implementations
- Experience with SuccessFactors, PayGlobal, Optima or similar payroll and HRIS platforms will be highly regarded
