We are partnering with a well‑established Australian business to recruit an Accounts Officer into their Melbourne-based finance team. The Opportunity

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys a broad finance position with exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations. You will work closely with operational stakeholders while supporting the wider finance team across a range of accounting and administrative responsibilities. The position requires a proactive, detail‑oriented individual capable of managing workload independently.

Key Responsibilities

- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- End-to-end accounts payable processing
- Accounts receivable support and debtor management
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting requirements
- Maintaining accurate financial records and data integrity
- Supporting internal stakeholders with finance-related queries




- Assisting with process improvements and ad‑hoc finance projects
- General support across the broader finance function

About You

- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Officer or similar finance position
- Robust understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Intermediate Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capability
- Positive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks
