Key Responsibilities

- Read and interpret plans, drawings and work specifications.
- Inspect, measure and prepare concrete, timber and other subfloors prior to installation.
- Install and finish a range of flooring products including vinyl, hybrid flooring, laminate flooring, engineered timber flooring and other resilient floor coverings.
- Prepare floor surfaces by cleaning, levelling and applying moisture barriers, primers or adhesives where required.
- Cut, shape and fit flooring materials to ensure accurate alignment and high-quality finishes.
- Sand, polish, seal and finish timber flooring where required.
- Repair, replace and maintain damaged or worn flooring materials.
- Inspect completed flooring works to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Liaise with supervisors and other trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Requirements

- Relevant qualification equivalent to Certificate III in Flooring Technology, or at least three years of relevant full-time work experience as a Floor Finisher.




- Demonstrated experience in the installation and finishing of residential and/or commercial flooring.
- Sound knowledge of flooring materials, adhesives, levelling compounds and installation techniques.
- Ability to read plans and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and physically fit.
