We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused General Manager to lead the next phase of growth and operational excellence across our collision repair business.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the overall strategic, financial and operational performance of Smiths Bodyshops located in Adelaide, Clare and Port Augusta.

Leading an experienced Operations Manager and site leadership teams, you will drive business growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, people development and continuous improvement across all locations.

This is a senior leadership prospect suited to an individual who thrives on building high-performing teams, developing business strategy and delivering strong commercial outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the overall strategic direction and performance of Smiths Bodyshops.

- Drive revenue growth, profitability and achievement of budget objectives.

- Provide leadership and support to the leadership teams.

- Develop and execute business plans aligned with Smith Motor Group objectives.

- Build relationships with insurers, suppliers, industry partners & stakeholders.

- Monitor & improve outcomes across financial,



operational & customer metrics.

- Drive a culture of accountability, leadership and continuous improvement.

- Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, insurer & industry requirements.

- Identify opportunities for innovation, operational efficiencies and future growth.

- Protect and enhance the reputation as a leading collision repair provider.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Demonstrated success in a senior leadership or General Manager position.

- Strong commercial & financial management experience, incl P&L; responsibility.

- Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and teams.

- Exceptional leadership, coaching and people development skills.

- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse data and drive performance.

- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on leadership approach.

- Strong understanding of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

- Experience within the collision repair, automotive, transport, manufacturing or related industry will be highly regarded.
