Food Production Roles – Immediate Start

We are currently recruiting for multiple food production positions with a well-established food manufacturing business based in Mile End.

Full work rights in Australia are essential, as roles are ongoing and have full time hours or more. As such, we are unable to accept Working Holiday or Student Visas.

Knife Hand – Pumpkin Processing
Monday to Friday | 5:00am Starts

Responsibilities:

- Processing pumpkins for pie fillings
- Using knives safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures

Requirements:

- Strong knife skills and previous food preparation experience
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
- Own transport preferred

Esky / Cooling Room Operator
Monday to Friday | 5:00am Starts

Responsibilities:

- Moving trolleys containing baked products through cooling and storage areas
- Monitoring and recording product temperatures
- Ensuring food safety procedures are followed at all times

Requirements:

- Physically fit and capable of completing 15,000+ steps per shift
- Good understanding of food safety and temperature monitoring
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Own transport preferred

Meat Cook
Monday to Friday | 8:00pm Starts

This group cook our pie fillings, ready for our day teams to assemble and bake into pies the next day. In an environment where our reputation is built on taste, the night cook roles play a vital role to customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

- Batch, cook and finish fillings, following recipes, SOPs and work instructions




- Scale and stage ingredients, manage add sequences, and monitor
- Time/temperature/texture to the Vilis exceptional standard
- Support in-process QA checks
- Follow food safety, procedural and safety requirements, including clean-as-you-go, food segregation, first in first out and temperature-based product handling requirements
- Work in a tight-knit team to balance the priorities of quality, quantity and timelines

Night Packer

Monday to Friday | 15.30 starts

- Packing bakery products accurately and efficiently.
- Preparing customer orders and palletising stock.
- Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Following food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
Assisting with general production and warehouse duties as required.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will:

- Be reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Be comfortable working night shifts and in a fast-paced workplace.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Be physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and food hygiene standards.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
