What you'll be doing
- Performing poly welding operations on pipeline projects, ensuring welds meet industry standards and specifications
- Operating civil machinery and equipment for pipeline excavation, installation and site preparation
- Inspecting pipelines and completed work to verify quality and compliance with safety regulations
- Preparing work sites and maintaining health and safety protocols throughout all operations
- Collaborating with project supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Maintaining and servicing welding equipment and civil machinery
- Documenting work completed and maintaining accurate project records
- Responding to site-specific requirements and adapting to changing project conditions
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a poly welder or pipeline welding specialist with demonstrated technical competence
- Practical experience operating civil machinery and equipment relevant to pipeline projects
- Current or recent experience in pipeline installation, maintenance or civil construction work
- Sound knowledge of pipeline safety standards and regulatory requirements
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various project sites
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in welding, civil operations or trades (desirable)
- A proactive approach to health and safety in the workplace
