Position Type: Fixed Term Full Time until June 2027 (9 day fortnight)

Salary Range: LGO3 $78,412 – $84,646 per annum + super

Location: Townsville

About The Role:

This position plays a key role in in providing direct administrative support for the relevant section and works in collaboration across the administrative units of the Infrastructure and Operations division and working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community.

About You:

Our ideal applicant will have:

Demonstrated experience role modelling a positive safety culture and adherence to the Health Safety Management Systems through visible leadership and exercising due diligence and management of compliance and legislative obligations. Qualifications commensurate with Certificate IV in Business or similar competency and/or minimum 3 years relevant experience. Current “C” class drivers’ licence. Well-developed excellent customer service and communication skills including the ability to educate and influence. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products. Demonstrated proficiency in Council’s financial and administration systems, including but not limited to CiAnywhere and CES or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, relevant and timely administrative, secretariat, reporting and financial support to a multi-disciplinary team across different work locations. Ability to work independently along with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.



Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing work environments while demonstrating a positive attitude. This includes undertaking duties in various work locations and teams throughout the Infrastructure and Operations Division as required.
