About the employer ABN 15 577 127 495 is seeking a full-time Cook to organise and control the day-to-day operations of the club, including licensed bar and hospitality services, member services, sporting and social activities, staff supervision, property coordination and compliance with relevant liquor, health, safety and club regulatory requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Examining foodstuffs and ingredients to ensure freshness, quality and suitability before preparation and cooking.
- Preparing and cooking a range of meals for bistro service, clubhouse dining, club functions, events and member activities.
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, fryers, cooktops and other cooking equipment.
- Preparing ingredients by washing, cutting, trimming, portioning, marinating, seasoning and assembling food items.
- Seasoning food during cooking and ensuring meals are cooked to the required standard.
- Portioning food, plating meals and adding sauces, gravies, garnishes and accompaniments before service.




- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements, including allergies, intolerances and other customer needs where required.
- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients and assisting with ordering food and kitchen supplies.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen, including work areas, equipment, utensils and storage areas.
- Following food safety procedures, workplace health and safety requirements and club policies.
- Assisting with menu planning, daily specials and estimating food requirements for regular service, functions and events.
- Coordinating with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and consistent meal service.
- Assisting with training or guidance of kitchenhands, junior staff or apprentices where required.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required

Applicants must have:

- Relevant study including at least 2 years of on-the-job training or
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Cook in a dining, catering, club, hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare, season and cook a range of meals in a commercial kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, stock rotation and safe food storage requirements.
- Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, fryers and cooktops.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy service periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by club operations.

Licensing / Compliance Requirements

The successful applicant must hold, or be willing to obtain before commencement:

- Food safety handling certificate or equivalent
