We're looking for an experienced and motivated Afternoon Shift Team Leader to join our growing warehouse team in Yatala.
This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll be responsible for leading a small team of warehouse staff, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, safely and on time. You'll be leading by example, driving productivity, maintaining a positive team culture and helping us deliver exceptional service to some of Australia's leading retail brands.
This is a 6-month contract to support a significant growth period within our business, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
Lead, coach and motivate the afternoon shift warehouse team
Ensure daily picking, packing and dispatch targets are achieved
Monitor productivity, quality and accuracy throughout the shift
Allocate work and manage labour to maximise efficiency
Support the onboarding and training of new team members
Maintain a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment
Assist with inventory control, stock investigations and cycle counts
Lead by example and assist with warehouse operations whenever required
About you
To be successful in this role you'll have:
Previous experience leading a warehouse or distribution team
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
A positive, energetic and hands‑on approach to leadership
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
The ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
A current Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential)
