About the role
Ready to lead crews on one of Australia's largest mining operations?
Altrad is expanding its leadership team and is seeking experienced Rope Access Supervisors (NACE Level 2) and Mechanical/Welding Supervisors (Cert 10) to support works across Rio Tinto operations.
These are FIFO opportunities from Perth, with ongoing work commencing ASAP. You'll play a key role in leading high-performing crews, driving the safe execution of work, and ensuring quality outcomes across critical maintenance activities.
If you're a hands-on leader with a strong safety focus and experience supervising teams in the mining or resources sector, we'd like to hear from you.
Your responsibilities may include:
Leading and coordinating crews to safely deliver planned work scopesDriving a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with site proceduresConducting pre-starts, risk assessments and job hazard analysesMonitoring productivity,



quality and performance across your teamLiaising with client representatives and project stakeholders to support successful deliveryIdentifying and managing safety risks, quality issues and site improvementsMaintaining accurate records, inspections and reporting requirementsMentoring and developing team members to achieve strong operational outcomes

About you
We're looking for experienced supervisors with a strong safety focus and proven leadership experience within mining, resources or heavy industry.
Rope Access Supervisor
Current NACE Level 2 Rope Access certificationDemonstrated experience leading rope access crews on mining or industrial sites
Mechanical SupervisorCurrent Cert 10 qualificationDemonstrated experience supervising mechanical maintenance crews within mining or heavy industry
Both roles require:Completed Statutory 26 Supervisor units of competency – no DEMIRS exam requiredStrong leadership, communication and organisational skillsA proactive, safety-first mindsetAbility to work FIFO from Perth on day and night shift
