About the role

New Spark Electrical and Air conditioning is seeking a dedicated Aircon/Electrical Trade Assistant to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in Windsor Gardens, SA 5087. As a Trade Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our team whilst developing your practical skills in both air conditioning and electrical work. This position offers an excellent foundation for those looking to build a career in the trades, with direct involvement in installation, maintenance, and repair projects across residential and commercial properties.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting qualified electricians and air conditioning technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair work

2. Preparing work sites by gathering tools, materials, and equipment needed for each job

1. Assisting with cable routing, pipe fitting, and other preparatory work under supervision

2. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations

3. Learning and following proper safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective equipment at all times

4. Assisting with basic troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks under guidance

5. Transporting materials and equipment to job sites

What we're looking for

1. A keen interest in pursuing a career in electrical work or air conditioning installation and maintenance

2. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour, including lifting and carrying equipment and materials

3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship

4. Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work as part of a team

5.



A willingness to learn and develop practical skills under the guidance of experienced tradespeople

6. Good communication skills and the ability to take direction and follow instructions

7. A current driver's licence and access to reliable transport

8. No prior experience is necessary; however, any relevant experience in the trades or construction is advantageous

9. Relevant qualifications or certifications in electrical work or air conditioning would be beneficial but are not essential
