Experienced Fabricator

Full-time permanent positions available $80,000-$100,000 for immediate start for workshop and site work available, from our Henderson Workshop. Work with a Professional Team With Prospect to Advance Salary range $80,000 - $100,000 Qualified tradesperson

About the business We are family run boat building business specialising in commercial aluminium vessels usually between 10-12m. We work locally in Henderson

- No FIFO, No working away.

We work 10 hours Monday

- Thursday giving you a 3 day weekend for you to enjoy.

We are looking qualified first class welders, boat builders, sheet metal or boilermakers to join our team to? ensure we meet the demands of our expanding business. The role will be part of a dynamic team to manufacture purpose built aluminium boats of superior quality in a close-knit environment.

Qualifications & experience:



5 Years Boat Building Experience A relevant certificate III with two years of on-the-job training OR a relevant certificate IV OR at least three years of relevant work experience. Tasks & responsibilities: Studying and understanding engineering drawings and specifications to determine job requirements Understanding the curves of boat building fabrication Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting Examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and acidic solutions Benefits: Project Bonuses Schedule: 10 hour shift x 4 days a week Licence/Certification: Driver Licence Work Authorisation: Australia (Required)
