Part-Time Cook – Regents Garden Scarborough

Regents Garden Group Pty Ltd, a well-established aged care provider, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our team. This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our residents by delivering high-quality, nutritious meals in a supportive setting.

About the Role
As a Cook, you will assist with the efficient preparation and delivery of meals for residents, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, infection control practices, and aged care regulations. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in preparing meals that meet a variety of dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve meals in line with approved menus and residents’ dietary requirements

- Support the daily operation of the kitchen, including delegating tasks to catering staff

- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Chef Manager

- Ensure compliance with food handling, infection control, and workplace health and safety policies

- Assist with food ordering, receipt of supplies, and correct storage of food items

- Promote and enforce compliance with organisational policies,



procedures, and codes of conduct

- Respond to and report incidents in line with the Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS)

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the facility

- Maintain a safe working environment for staff, residents, and visitors

What We’re Looking For:

- Previous experience in food preparation and cooking for large numbers of people

- TAFE Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) – preferred

- Ability to work effectively in an aged care or health-related environment

- Sound knowledge of food safety, infection control, and workplace health and safety practices

- Strong teamwork and communication skills

- Current National Police Clearance and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

- Up-to-date Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations

This is a part-time position with hourly salary ranging from $30.91 to $32.61, depending on the candidate's experience.
