Protech is seeking hardworking and reliable Asphalt Surfacing Labourers and Operators to join a busy and growing civil construction team.
Whether you’re an experienced asphalt worker or a motivated labourer looking to advance your career, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on major road infrastructure projects and develop your skills in a supportive environment.

What’s on Offer?
✅ $39.70 – $41.70 per hour + penalties & allowances (based on experience)
✅ Monday to Friday roster (5/2) with occasional Saturday work
✅ 9-12 hour shifts available
✅ Mixture of day and night shift work depending on project requirements
✅ Opportunity for away work assignments (up to 4 weeks at a time, home on weekends)
✅ Career progression and training opportunities into machine operations for the right candidates

Key Responsibilities

As part of the asphalt crew, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality road surfacing projects, including:

- Asphalt raking and finishing
- Shovelling and working behind the paver
- Manual handling and physical labouring tasks
- General site housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment
- Assisting with or operating machinery, including:
- Skid Steer




- Loader
- Tractor Broom

About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Previous experience in asphalt, spray sealing, road surfacing, civil construction, labouring, or machine operations (highly desirable)
- Current White Card
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Reliable transport to get to and from work
- HR Licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety
