Our client is seeking an experienced Community Assets Planning Officer for an exciting Local Government contract opportunity.
Working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, you'll play a key role in planning and improving community assets, recreation facilities and public spaces. This is a outstanding opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, work closely with community groups and stakeholders, and help shape facilities that will benefit the local community for years to come.
About the Role
Reporting to the Community Assets Planning Team Leader, you will:
- Assist in the development and implementation of Plans of Management, Master Plans and strategic policies for community assets.
- Support the planning and review of public land, community facilities and recreation spaces.
- Prepare grant applications and supporting documentation.
- Research social, economic and industry trends to inform planning and service delivery.
- Coordinate and support community engagement and consultation activities.
- Provide advice and support to Council committees, sporting clubs and community organisations.
- Manage customer enquiries and contribute to project delivery across the Community Assets team.
- Review legislation and policies to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Strategic Planning, Town Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Recreation Planning, Asset Management or a related discipline, or extensive relevant experience.
