Meeka Metals Limited (MEK) operates Western Australia’s newest gold mine and we now need experienced Utilities to maintain a high standard of housekeeping on our flagship site Murchison Gold Project, 50kms north of Meekatharra.
The project is a combined open pit and underground mining operation with an initial 10-year mine life.
About the role:
Meeka Metals is looking for Experienced FIFO Utilities to join our team at the Murchison Gold Project. These company direct roles will be responsible for the housekeeping of our mining camps, managing linen, providing cleaning to the site offices and assistance to our chefs in the kitchen.
The role is offered on a 8:6 roster, FIFO from Perth.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the village accommodation.
- Daily cleaning of site offices and general spaces.
- Managing laundry / linen.
- Managing village cleaning supplies / stocks.
- Assist chefs with daily food preparation.
- Manage village bar.
- Assist with unloading village supply trucks.
Required skills and experience:
- Minimum 12 months prior experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience with room cleaning and working in a commercial kitchen
- Demonstrated experience working within a construction/operational mining setting
- Prior experience with stock management / ordering
- National Police Clearance.
- C class manual driver’s license.
- Forklift ticket (Desirable).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing.
