Our client is a leader in the industry in manufacturing and also provides comprehensive maintenance and reactive services to large commercial, industrial and manufacturing industries across Australia. Due to growth, we are seeking an WHS Manager to join their team in this newly created role.

The WHS Manager is responsible for driving workplace health and safety initiatives across all Branches across Australia, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and embedding a strong safety culture across the organisation. This role provides leadership in risk management, incident prevention, safety training, while overseeing compliance and administrative processes to maintain audit readiness and client assurance.

The role:

- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of WH&S; policies, procedures, and systems
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes to ensure continuous improvement
- Workers compensation and return to work coordination
- Coordinate and deliver safety inductions, training and toolbox talks for employees and contractors
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and staff on WH&S; legislation, standards and best practices
- Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, communication and leadership
- Manage training and license renewals, ensuring employees and contractors remain compliant
- Maintain accurate training matrices, compliance registers and WH&S; documentation
- Complete and submit client pre-qualification documentation ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee annual subscription renewals for compliance platforms and safety systems
- Ensure compliance systems are updated and documentation is audit-ready




- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with compliance requirements

What we're looking for:

- 5+ years experience in WHS within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering or service related industry.
- Diploma or higher qualification is mandatory in WH&S; or equivalent
- Experience in the Electrical industry.
- Solid knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in leading safety programs, audits, incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Leadership capability with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate
- Experience in compliance administration, training coordination and license renewals
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to influence and engage stakeholders
- Proficiency in compliance platforms, safety systems and Microsoft Office Suite
