Milestone IT is partnering with a leading healthcare organisation to recruit an experienced Systems Engineer on an initial 12-month contract to join their growing infrastructure team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a large and complex enterprise environment where you'll play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing critical Microsoft infrastructure that underpins essential healthcare services.

We're looking for a technically strong Systems Engineer who enjoys working across the Microsoft technology stack, has excellent troubleshooting skills, and is passionate about delivering reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure solutions.

About the Role

As a Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting and improving enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You'll work closely with internal teams and project stakeholders to deliver infrastructure upgrades, system improvements, and technology projects while ensuring the stability and performance of critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Support and administer enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
- Maintain and optimise Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP.
- Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint.
- Administer and support Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
- Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and enhancement projects.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve infrastructure issues.




- Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver technology initiatives on time and to a high standard.

About You

You'll be an experienced Systems Engineer with a strong background supporting Microsoft technologies within a medium to large enterprise environment.

You'll bring experience with:

- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Azure
- Exchange Online
- Group Policy
- DNS and DHCP
- PowerShell scripting (highly regarded)
- VMware or Hyper-V (desirable)
- Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager (desirable)
- Backup and disaster recovery technologies
- Citrix

You'll also have:

- Experience working in enterprise IT environments.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
