At Community Housing Limited (CHL), Australia's largest regulated community housing provider, we're using data to drive smarter decisions and better housing outcomes.
We're looking for an analytical, outcomes-focused Asset Analyst to deliver asset and maintenance analytics, reporting and visualisation across our national property portfolio. You'll turn complex asset, maintenance and contractor data into actionable insights that improve investment decisions, optimise portfolio performance and enhance service delivery.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, building insightful dashboards and partnering with stakeholders to support strategic and operational decisions, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
This is a permanent full-time position that can be based anywhere in Australia, ideally near a CHL office. Full-time work from home will also be considered. It offers a competitive salary, superannuation and salary packaging.
What you’ll do
You'll work closely with Assets, Maintenance, Finance, Procurement, IT and operational teams to improve the quality, accessibility and value of asset information across our national portfolio.
Your work will include:
- Analysing asset, maintenance and contractor data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance improvements.
- Producing evidence-based insights that support maintenance planning, capital investment and portfolio optimisation.
- Developing and enhancing Power BI (or equivalent) dashboards and reports that provide clear visibility of asset performance, maintenance activity and compliance.
- Supporting lifecycle planning through asset condition analysis, utilisation assessments and performance forecasting
- Designing contractor performance reporting and benchmarking frameworks that drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Working with business stakeholders, IT and system vendors to improve asset management systems and reporting capability.
- Championing data quality, governance and consistency across enterprise asset and maintenance systems.
- Supporting initiatives that strengthen asset management maturity, sustainability and cost-effective service delivery across the organisation.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys working with data but is equally comfortable working with people. You know how to translate technical analysis into practical recommendations that support better business decisions.
You'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience analysing complex asset, maintenance or infrastructure data.
- Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle modelling, condition analysis and performance reporting.
- Advanced skills in Power BI, Tableau or similar business intelligence and visualisation tools.
- Experience working with asset management systems, maintenance systems and asset registers.
- A sound understanding of asset management principles, lifecycle planning, compliance and risk-based decision making.
- Experience supporting data governance, reporting improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and meaningful way.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience in community housing, social housing, property, facilities, infrastructure or a related sector will be highly regarded.
Appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a Police Check and any other checks required for the role. All pre-employment checks will be arranged during onboarding.
Why Join Us?
