About the Role
We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable people to join our team as Back of House (BOH) Charcoal Cook. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll work alongside a great team, keep the energy high, and help create memorable experiences for our guests. No previous experience is required, with full training provided on the job.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
Charcoal Cook:
- Setting up and operating the charcoal pit safely and correctly
- Cooking and basting charcoal chicken to El Jannah recipe and quality standards
- Portioning, rotating, and preparing chicken for service
- Monitoring cook times, temperatures, and product quality
- Keeping the charcoal station, tools, and surrounding areas clean and organised
- Supporting service flow during busy periods
- Following food safety, WHS requirements, and reporting hazards or incidents
- Working closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience
What We’re Looking For
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and follow procedures
- Attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A team-first mindset with respectful communication
- Availability to work flexible rosters, including evenings and weekends
- Previous rapid food or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential
