St John of God Health Care Murdoch is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team across the specialty areas of stoma care, continence, wound management, pressure injury prevention and management.

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide expert leadership, guidance, and education across the service, empowering teams to achieve excellence in clinical practice and uphold the highest standards of care.

You will play a key role in driving quality improvement initiatives, promoting evidence-based practice, supporting effective clinical decision-making, and building strong partnerships with medical practitioners and multidisciplinary teams. This position will be offered on a permanent part-time basis, working 7 hours per week. We currently have 2 opportunities available.

The Position

- Act as a resource in planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients.

- Negotiate patient care with nursing, medical and allied health professionals.

- Maintain advanced clinical skills relevant to area of practice.

- Act as a clinical resource in the area of clinical specialty,



in consultation with the multidisciplinary team.

- Initiate and coordinate care of patients with complex problems in the area of clinical specialty.

- Evaluate the quality of practice in area of specialty.

- Identify unsafe care practices and implement corrective action in collaboration.

- Promote and facilitate patient discharge education and arranges community support as required.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. You will bring well-developed skills in conflict resolution, negotiation, problem-solving, and clinical education, with the ability to support and mentor others to achieve excellence in practice. Experience in stomal therapy nursing, wound management, continence care, and breast care will be highly regarded.

The successful applicant will hold Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, supported by a relevant post-registration qualification and demonstrated experience within your area of specialty. You will also have a sound understanding of relevant legislation, skilled standards, and healthcare requirements, including the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia standards, Code of Conduct, Work Health and Safety obligations, and Equal Employment Opportunity principles.

- Salary: $129,203, plus 12% superannuation
