Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 4D3R (occasional shutdown coverage will be required on 8D6R).

The Registerable Plant Inspector supports the Senior Compliance Engineer as part of the Western Hub Compliance Team. This role is responsible for conducting inspections of registerable plant and supporting compliance with regulatory, Australian and Fortescue standards through inspection execution, record management, defect tracking and coordination of third‑party inspection activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct inspections of registerable plant in line with legislative, Australian Standard and Fortescue requirements
- Maintain inspection, certification, asset and defect records within SAP and internal compliance registers
- Coordinate and support third‑party inspectors and service providers, including report review and follow‑up actions
- Identify, raise and track defects, non‑conformances and remedial actions through to close‑out
- Support the development and execution of inspection and maintenance strategies for registerable plant
- Assist with internal audits, external inspections and compliance reporting requirements
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams regarding plant compliance and inspection findings
- Conduct field interactions with work groups to promote safe work practices

Qualifications and Experience

- Mechanical Engineering qualification, Mechanical Trade or equivalent technical background relevant to registerable plant
- Experience working with registerable plant,



pressure equipment, cranes, lifting equipment or similar fixed plant assets
- Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, statutory inspection requirements and plant compliance obligations
- Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems
- Robust attention to detail, report review and record management capability
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with site teams, contractors and inspectors
- API, AICIP, NDT, pressure equipment, crane inspection, or other relevant plant inspection certification
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, oil and gas, or processing operations
- Familiarity with statutory plant registration and design verification requirements
- Experience developing inspection scopes and supporting integrity or compliance improvement programs
