Founding Forward-Deployed Engineer

You are the bridge between Alloovium and the largest construction companies in Australia. You will spend your week split between our office and our customers' sites sitting next to project managers at Multiplex, HSEQ leads at Seymour Whyte, and quantity surveyors at firms running billion-dollar projects. You'll watch them work, find the broken workflow no one has thought to fix,



and ship the feature that fixes it before you leave the building. This is a category-defining role: forward-deployed engineering barely exists in construction tech, and you'll be the person who writes the playbook for it.

responsibilities

Embed directly with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors. Run discovery, run pilots, run rollouts. Ship product yourself. You are not a customer success manager with a Jira backlog you write the code, deploy the change, and watch the customer use it the next morning. Own end-to-end pilots from first conversation to signed contract: scoping, technical integration (Share Point, Procore, Google Drive), training, expansion. Translate messy, half-articulated customer pain into product surface area. Decide what becomes a customer-specific workaround and what becomes core product. Build the forward-deployed function: hiring, process, internal tooling, the bar. Be the loudest customer voice in every product decision we make.
