- Part time position - 64.6 hour per fortnight
- Scale 4 - $29.84 per hour (at commencement), then $31.14 per hour (after 3 months)

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounting Support Officer to join our Finance team. In this role, you will perform a comprehensive range of financial services, including but not limited to accounts payable, receivables, and various other accounting functions. You will work closely with the Finance team to support day-to-day operations with a particular focus on accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across financial processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Oversee customer invoicing, payments, and outstanding debt follow-up.
- Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of all cash and bank transactions.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, highlighting trends and exceptions.
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.




- Handle general inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide timely assistance to finance team members with various tasks.

Key Selection Criteria

- Proven experience in accounts or administrative roles, including accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable.
- Sound understanding of GST and integrated accounting systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the workplace.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating ethical, honest, and transparent business practices.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting and/ or relevant work experience.
