The Role

Support adults living in CPA group homes to lead rich, independent and empowered lives. We currently have multiple roster opportunities in our SIL houses across the region. This opportunity is to support our SIL house in Wallsend. Please note, this house has high manual handling requirements as well as complex medical needs. Candidates with the experience and capability to handle these client needs will be prioritized.

Your Day‑to‑day May Include

- Providing respectful support with personal care, mealtimes, medication, and daily routines
- Encouraging skill‑building, independence, and decision‑making
- Supporting community engagement, social connection and transport (including use of CPA vans & in your own vehicle)
- Following person‑centred plans with empathy and professionalism
- Building positive relationships with our clients

What You'll Bring

We are looking for candidates who embody CPA values, are client‑focused in their approach to care, and are passionate about the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of people with disabilities. You'll bring:

- A can‑do attitude and growth mindset — you’re open to learning and ready to make a difference
- Professional Behaviour Support experience or lived experience preferred, however your passion & enthusiasm is key!
- NSW Driver's Licence (P2 or above)
- Physical capability to support clients with mobility or transfers
- Availability across a variety of shift times, including:
- Early mornings (6am - 9am)




- Day shifts (9am - 3/4pm)
- Afternoons & evenings
- Awake overnights (10pm-6am)

Exceptional training to support you

You will have comprehensive training throughout your orientation, with ongoing learning and development. We invest $5,000 in training in your first year.

- Buddy shifts with CPA's experienced Disability Support Workers
- CPA is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 90213).

We Offer Fully Funded Nationally Recognised Qualifications Including

- CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support
- Ongoing specialist training and skill development
