Anglo American Australia invites applications for the position of Warehouse Officer at the Grosvenor underground steelmaking coal mine. The role is centred on maintaining efficient warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, safe handling of materials, and timely delivery to support mine and project activities.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in the receipting, storage, protection and distribution of the Company’s assets.
- Maintaining the warehouse facilities to provide a safe, neat and clean working workplace.
- Operating a forklift and other required equipment safely.
- Ensuring correct parts and quantities are retrieved and dispatched to the correct locations.
- Keeping productivity levels and delivery deadlines on target.
- Packing parts in a safe and secure manner.
- Monitoring procurement, shipping and delivery of materials.
- Tracking the receipt of all incoming materials in conjunction with the procurement team.
- Informing the project team of any changes or updates in material and resource availability.
- Assisting with the development, implementation and ongoing adherence to processes, procedures and company policies that ensure cost‑effective and timely movement of materials and supplies.
- Communicating lead‑times, delays and other factors affecting project deliverables from a materials availability perspective.
- Overseeing inventory/stock control.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s licence (preferably a Manual Light Vehicle).
- Certificate III in Warehousing & Logistics or equivalent experience.
- Current forklift LF high‑risk licence.
- Experience working in a warehouse/procurement environment.
- Previous warehouse experience within a mining or heavy‑industrial environment is advantageous.
- Experience with EWP and Microsoft Office suite desirable.
- Experience using SAP for warehouse functions desirable.
- Ability to interpret maintenance parts and knowledge of mine‑site consumables is well regarded.
