Specialist in Internal Medicine required for a rural teaching hospital in Western NSW, contract from 01/01/2026 to 31/12/2026 (sessional, paid via VMoney). Daily rate $2,500.00.

Hospital Overview

The 98‑bed rural teaching hospital offers a wide variety of services including 24‑hour emergency and maternity services, general medical, surgical, obstetric, paediatric, dialysis, oncology unit and acute mental health beds, operating theatres, specialist palliative care, intensive and coronary care units. Support services include radiology and pathology departments, and various allied and primary health services.

Inpatient beds: 27 medical acute beds (including palliative care priority), 21 surgical beds, 5 ICU/CCU beds, 6 maternity beds, 6 paediatric beds, 6 mental health inpatient beds, 10 sub‑acute rehabilitation beds, 6 dialysis chairs, 3 operating theatres, 3 recovery beds, 2 Special Care Nursery Level 2 cots.

Role Expectations

- Provide clinical services 2‑3 days per month, face to face only.
- Travel and accommodation provided.
