About the Role

We are seeking an experienced full-time Clinical Nurse to join our Care Team at the Tarcoola Residential Aged Care Home in Tara, located in the Western Downs Region of Queensland. As a senior nursing clinician you will provide supervision, coordination and support to the care team while delivering a variety of generalist nursing duties, including medication management, assessment, coordination and case management for our residents.

Demonstrating expertise in contemporary clinical practice, you will share your knowledge of the highest standards in person‑centred care, empowering your team to deliver advanced clinical and holistic care. You will liaise with medical practitioners, families and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure excellence in personalised care. Working closely with a supportive Clinical Manager, your role is pivotal in promoting a culture of service delivery that enhances the lifestyle experiences of residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion a strong teamwork approach to resident’s care, providing mentorship and guidance to your team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled nurses, Personal Carers, Lifestyle Officers and Allied Health staff.

Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in aged care
- Demonstrated competence in the provision of contemporary nursing care including medication management, clinical governance and assessment, and relevant documentation
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills
- Understanding of all relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, professional standards and guidelines relevant to the aged care environment, accreditation and continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrated solid working knowledge of care minutes
- Proven track record in understanding and meeting the requirements of accreditation
- Confidence and competency in being accountable for the clinical care provisions
- Proactive and energetic approach in managing time effectively
- Approachable and self‑assured communication style
- Demonstrated high‑level skills in wound management, medication administration, continence and/or palliative care (desirable)
