Your new role as the Plant Mechanic for Mining Components will be reporting to the Workshop Supervisor.

About Welshpool

The Mining Components workshop at Welshpool, WA, offers cost-effective repairs for Caterpillar equipment. We specialise in certified powertrain components, and custom solutions, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Roster: 5 Days On, 2 Days Off - DAYS ONLY.

What you’ll do:

- Overhaul various Caterpillar components including engines, transmissions, differentials and final drives.
- Inspect and measure internal parts against reusability guidelines.
- Complete component overhauls in accordance with Caterpillar specifications and company procedures.
- Accurately complete inspection and quality control documentation.
- Actively participate in maintaining a safe and innovative workplace.

Skills & Experience:

- Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanic Trade Qualification
- Experience working on mobile plant and components
- Experience with Caterpillar Systems (ET, SIS, VIMS) - desirable
- Dedication to a safe working setting and quality work for our customers
- Ability to work within a team & autonomously
