Kitchen Coordinator

We are looking for a caring, organised and enthusiastic Kitchen Coordinator to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who loves cooking, enjoys being organised, and takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming kitchen environment.

You don’t need to be a qualified chef — we are looking for someone with a genuine interest in cooking, confidence in the kitchen, and a passion for preparing nutritious meals for children.

About the Role

As our Kitchen Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of our childcare kitchen. The majority of meals are prepared and delivered by our trusted food supplier, with your main responsibility being to safely heat, prepare and serve meals for the children.

You will also have the opportunity to prepare additional meals and snacks, including cooking suitable meals for children with allergies and dietary requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Heating, preparing and serving meals supplied by our catering partner
- Preparing allergy-friendly meals and adjustments for individual dietary needs
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen environment
- Washing dishes and ensuring kitchen areas are kept tidy throughout the day
- Completing stock checks and ordering kitchen supplies
- Ensuring food safety,



storage and hygiene practices are followed
- Supporting a positive and enjoyable mealtime experience for children

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Loves cooking and enjoys working in a kitchen environment
- Has an interest in food, nutrition and preparing meals for children
- Is organised, reliable and takes pride in their work
- Enjoys keeping things clean, tidy and well-managed
- Can confidently cater for dietary requirements
- Has a caring nature and understands the importance of children’s wellbeing
- Is happy working independently and managing kitchen responsibilities

Previous experience in a childcare kitchen, hospitality or food preparation role is desirable but not essential. The right attitude, willingness to learn and passion for cooking are what matter most.

Pay: $32.00 – $38.00 per hour
