We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Accountant or Business Services Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who has strong technical knowledge, enjoys building trusted client relationships and wants to develop broader taxation, structuring and commercial advisory experience while working closely with the firm's partners.

The role

Depending on your experience, you will be responsible for managing or assisting with the management of a portfolio of business services and taxation clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, income tax returns, FBT returns and associated compliance work for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and other entities
- Managing annual compliance assignments from commencement through to completion
- Working closely with partners to manage client portfolios, workflow and deadlines
- Assisting partners with tax planning, business structuring, asset protection and other advisory assignments
- Preparing management reports, cash-flow forecasts and financial analysis where required
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office




- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring work is completed to a high professional standard
- Developing a sound understanding of each client's business, financial position and commercial objectives

About you

- Solid experience in business services and taxation
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation principles
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- The ability to manage multiple client assignments and competing deadlines
- Robust analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with partners and other team members
- A relevant accounting or commerce degree
- CA or CPA qualification, or substantial progress toward qualification, is preferred
