Lead Housekeeper – Short-Term Rentals (Weekend Operations)

Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time (up to 38 hours per week for the right candidate)
Location: Sunshine Coast, QLD (Caloundra-based office with travel across properties)
Roster: Friday to Tuesday | $75,000 per year + super

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Lead Housekeeper to support weekend operations across a growing short-term rental business on the Sunshine Coast.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys housekeeping but is ready to take the next step by supporting a team, maintaining high cleaning standards and helping ensure properties are beautifully presented for every guest.

Working closely with the Housekeeping Manager and Operations team, you will be the go-to person for the housekeeping team across the Friday to Tuesday period, providing guidance, quality checks, and practical support when needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Support and coordinate the housekeeping team across the weekend period.
- Assist with daily cleaning schedules, priorities, and operational changes.
- Complete quality checks to ensure properties are cleaned and presented to a high standard.
- Provide support, feedback, and guidance to housekeeping team members.
- Complete departure cleans, mid-stay cleans, and additional housekeeping tasks as required.




- Identify and communicate maintenance, stock, or property presentation issues.
- Assist with linen, cleaning supplies, and general housekeeping organisation.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members.
- Experience with scheduling across platforms (Guesty, Breezeway, etc.) preferred
- Provide transparent handover notes to the weekday team.

About You

- Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, short-term rentals, or property services.
- Solid attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
- Reliable, organised, and confident working independently.
- Comfortable supporting and guiding a team.
- Positive attitude with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Requirements

- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Reliable vehicle for travel between properties.
- Applicants must have full working rights in Australia (AU/NZ Citizens or Permanent Residents)
- Available for an immediate start
