Position: 2nd 3rd & 4th year Electrical Apprentice – Solar Energy & Storage

Job Overview

You will be supporting the work of the business by working with the installation team at job sites as well as spending some time in the office to learn PV system design & the technical details of Solar PV and Batteries.

This is an ideal role for those who want to enter the renewable energy industry. We view this as a long-term position where training will be ongoing long past your apprenticeship. Over time you will be given the opportunity to obtain a variety of Renewable Energy qualifications including solar PV design & installation, Battery Installation and Off-Grid installation.

We are an expanding small business that is looking for an apprentice who is looking for a career with us in renewable energy.

Location

Our office is in Osborne Park, and we operate in the Greater Perth Metropolitan area.

Hours

- 38 hours per week

- 1PM finish on Fridays





- Overtime when required

Salary

Australis Solar will pay above award wages for the appropriate candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Perform all tasks necessary for the completion of your trade qualification.

- Attend nominated TAFE & completion of modules within required time frames.

- Working under direction perform duties to install solar PV and Battery systems.

- Gain an understanding of Solar Power, Battery and EV charging products.

- Complete all work assigned to the highest standards.

- Completion of various ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications & Experience

- Educational Qualification - Completion of WACE Certificate.

- Construction induction card (White Card).

- Solar Industry experience preferred but not necessary.

- Drivers Licence.

- Working at Heights is desired but not necessary.

- Comfortable working on roofs and at height.

- Ability to use hand tools, power tools and ladders.
