The Role
We're looking for a Transport Scheduler to join our operations team at Hope Valley, WA — full-time, working a fixed roster of either Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll take ownership of safe, compliant and cost-effective scheduling across our fleet: matching drivers to jobs, keeping documentation tight, and coordinating with the workshop and clients to keep everything on time.
Some transport experience is ideal, but if you've got the right attitude and want to build a career in the industry, we still want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Plan and schedule daily transport operations, allocating drivers and vehicles to meet deadlines
- Create and manage jobs in our Transport Management System (TMS)
- Prepare and process transport documentation and paperwork
- Coordinate fleet maintenance with our workshop team
- Manage fatigue and safety compliance across the fleet
- Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve day-to-day issues
About You
- Experience with a Transport Management System (or similar), preferred
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Excellent planning, prioritising and time-management ability
- Reliable and comfortable working autonomously, including the occasional after-hours call
- Good interpersonal skills and a professional, can-do attitude
- Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Highly regarded: transport/supply chain background, understanding of Chain of Responsibility (COR), state/heavy vehicle legislation experience.
