The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Casual Chef to join our Food & Beverage team, supporting both RAAFA Merriwa Estate and Cambrai Village in Merriwa.

This is a flexible casual position ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is willing to work across both facilities as operational needs require. You will play an important role in delivering high-quality meals and dining experiences for our residents, members and guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and service.

About the Role

As a Casual Chef, you will:

- Prepare and deliver quality meals in a commercial kitchen environment
- Support food service operations across both Merriwa Estate and Cambrai Village
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and quality
- Assist with stock control, ordering and stock rotation
- Ensure kitchen operations comply with HACCP and regulatory requirements
- Take a hands-on approach to food preparation and service delivery
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within kitchen operations

What You'll Bring

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Previous experience as a Chef in aged care, hospitality, catering or a similar environment
- Flexibility and willingness to work across both Merriwa Estate and Cambrai Village
- Sound knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A valid C Class Driver's Licence
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance (issued within six months or willing to obtain)
- Current influenza vaccinations (or willingness to meet organisation requirements)
