We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Labourer/Operator to support our Infrastructure Services team. In this role, you will contribute to the maintenance and improvement of Council’s infrastructure assets across the region, undertaking general labouring duties, construction and maintenance tasks, vegetation management, and operating light mechanical plant and trucks as directed by the Supervisor.

About the Role

- Undertake construction, maintenance and labouring tasks across roads, drainage, bridges, parks, reserves and public open spaces.

- Operate and maintain light mechanical plant and equipment, including ride-on mowers, tractors, rollers and trucks.

- Complete vegetation management, gardening, rubbish removal and general maintenance duties.

- Follow all WHS, traffic management, PPE, Council policies and safe work procedures.

- Work professionally with team members, supervisors and members of the public.

Skills & Experience

- Experience in labouring, civil construction, maintenance, parks or vegetation management.

- Ability to safely operate light plant, equipment and trucks.

- Strong understanding of protected work practices and commitment to WHS requirements.

- Good communication, teamwork and ability to follow instructions under general supervision.

- Relevant licences, tickets or competencies such as MR licence, White Card, traffic control or plant tickets would be highly regarded.
