WesTrac is seeking experienced Plant Mechanics to join our growing site-based teams across several mining operations in the Hunter Valley region. These are hands-on, site-embedded roles supporting industry-leading CAT® equipment in high-performing mining environments.
As a Plant Mechanic, you will play a key role in maintaining and maximising equipment availability across large-scale mining operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Servicing, maintaining and repairing CAT® mobile plant equipmentConducting inspections and preventative maintenance activitiesDiagnosing and troubleshooting faults to minimise downtimeCompleting repairs to a high standard while prioritising safetyWorking collaboratively within high-performing site maintenance teamsUtilising advanced diagnostic tools and systems
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Mobile Plant Trade Qualification (Certificate of Proficiency highly regarded)Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualification will also be consideredExperience working in mining, heavy equipment or similar environments - essentialStrong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilitiesA commitment to safety and quality workmanshipAbility to work effectively in a site-based team setting
