About the role





The Assistant Support Worker supports the delivery of parenting, education, and wellbeing programs for vulnerable young people. Working under the supervision of senior staff and as part of a multidisciplinary team, the role assists with case management, client support, transport coordination, and program delivery while contributing to continuous quality improvement.

Key duties of the role

Health care and case management services, DECD Flexible Learning Services are planned and delivered at MYH sites and via outreach for young people their families and communities are involved in service provision
Quality management, professional standards and risk management activities and ongoing improvement of services are maintained
Culturally sensitive services are delivered
A positive and safe work culture are encouraged and fostered within the Metropolitan Youth Health
Individual development and education requirements are met

Skills and Experience

Demonstrated experience working with young people, families, and vulnerable clients in a support or service delivery environment
Ability to provide effective communication, build positive relationships, and maintain confidentiality
Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and with relevant stakeholders




Demonstrated administrative skills, including case management documentation and general office processes
Current unrestricted driver’s licence and ability to drive a government vehicle
