POSITION SUMMARY

FMR Investments is seeking an experienced Allrounder Earthmoving Plant Operator (ANZSCO 721711) based at our Gordon Sirdar Gold Mine, approximately 55km north-east of Kalgoorlie. The company provides transport between the site and Kalgoorlie. This residential (No FIFO) role operates on a 6:1:6:8 roster, rotating between 10.5hr day and night shifts.

ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As an All-Round Operator, you’ll be responsible for safely operating a range of earthmoving plant to move, load, drill, excavate, break, compact, level and shape earth, ore and rock, obstructions and other materials to assist with building roads, water supply, and other earthworks for mining related projects . This role demands a high level of competency across multiple machines, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment to meet production and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely maintain and operate a range of earthmoving plant to excavate, level, compact and shape earth and other materials

- Load, transport and unload materials using earthmoving plant and equipment

- Perform routine pre-start checks, maintenance, minor repairs and adjustments on earthmoving plant and equipment

- Monitor and report any faults or malfunctions of plant and equipment to maintenance personnel

- Assist with general site operations and provide support to other departments as required.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Essential

- Experience operating a range of earthmoving equipment in an underground mining environment.

- Current C Class Manual Driver’s Licence.

- Physically fit and able to work in hot, secure, and confined environments.

- Results driven with strong spatial awareness and attention to detail.

- High initiative, a can-do attitude, and the ability to work independently and remotely.

- Versatile and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.

- Team-oriented with the ability to effectively collaborate with other stakeholders.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.

- Safety-focused with a commitment to zero harm.

- Reside locally in the Goldfields region of Western Australia (no FIFO available).

Desirable

- Basic mechanical aptitude or maintenance background.

- Strong technical knowledge in the gold resource sector operations or mining industry .

- First Aid or Emergency Response training.

- High Risk Work Licence (HRWL).

- Elevated Work Platform Ticket (EWP).

- Confined Space Entry Ticket.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Must have full legal rights to work in Australia and the ability to pass a National Police Clearance and fitness to work medical including drug and alcohol screening.
