We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our team at Middlemount

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter to work across all aspects of the site. Whether you’re seeking a casual role for flexibility or a permanent position for long-term stability, we’re happy to accommodate the right candidate’s preference.

- CAT 793C, 789C & 789D Haul Trucks

- CAT D10T & D11T Dozers

- CAT 16M & 18M Graders

- CAT 779 Service Carts

- CAT 777 & 785 Water Carts

You’ll be trusted to:

- Handle breakdown diagnostics and fault finding

- Carry out pit maintenance and field repairs

- Execute planned maintenance and shutdown work

- Identify issues before they become downtime

- Work independently and make clean decisions under pressure

- Keep machines running, not parked up

What You’ll Bring:

- Australian recognised trade certificate

- Australian driver’s licence

- Strong diagnostics and pit maintenance experience

- Coal mine experience preferred

- Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)

- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and national police clearance
