- Band 4 - $70,236 per annum, pro-rata + 12% super

About Us:

The Strathbogie Shire is a vibrant and progressive rural municipality located about two hours from the Melbourne CBD along the Hume Highway. We have diverse and picturesque communities served by townships such as Euroa, Nagambie, Violet Town, Avenel, Longwood, Ruffy and Strathbogie.

About the Role:

As a valued member of our team, you will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, delivering friendly, professional, and responsive service to both internal and external stakeholders. You will confidently manage telephone and counter enquiries, ensuring customers receive accurate information or are referred to the appropriate person in a timely manner.

This is a varied and rewarding position where you will have the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team environment and take on additional responsibilities that align with your skills, experience and training.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver exceptional customer service by providing friendly, professional and timely assistance to internal and external customers across telephone, counter and other communication channels.

- Manage customer enquiries and transactions efficiently, including accurately processing payments over the counter and by telephone, and referring enquiries to the appropriate team or officer when required.

- Provide high-quality administrative and operational support to senior officers and team members, contributing to the smooth day-to-day delivery of services.





- Work collaboratively as part of the team, undertaking additional duties that align with your skills, experience and training while supporting a positive and customer-focused workplace.

Our ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in providing excellent customer service both internally and externally.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills, including an ability to effectively handle difficult customers.

- Knowledge and experience in customer services, electronic cash receipting, reconciliation and banking processes.

- Experience in the use of software packages and databases including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and relevant Financial/Accounting software applications.
