Alternate Manager – Mine Operations
Reporting to the Mine Manager, this is a key operational leadership role with statutory accountability and genuine influence. You’ll provide coverage for the Manager – Mine Operations while leading safe,
sustainable and cost-effective underground production.
The opportunity
- Provide operational leadership and statutory coverage.
- Lead safe, efficient underground mining activities.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, company standards and site requirements.
- Oversee mining contractors, contracts and commercial performance.
- Build workforce capability, engagement and succession plans.
- Develop high-performing teams and strengthen operational performance.
About you
You are an experienced mining leader with strong operational and commercial capability, supported by:
- Significant underground mining experience.
- Demonstrated success leading mining operations and contractors.
- Experience in mine design and production scheduling.
- Solid contract administration and commercial governance skills.
- Experience conducting contractor audits and performance reviews.
- A Mining Engineering qualification and First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate – Metalliferous Mining will be highly regarded.
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and team performance.
