As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and high performing Geology Superintendent to provide leadership across our underground mining operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Geology Manager and working closely with Mining, Technical Services, and Operational leadership teams, the Geology Superintendent will be responsible for leading all geology functions across the underground operations.

You will provide strategic direction for resource development, grade control, orebody knowledge and geological systems while building and mentoring a capable team of geologists and technicians.

This role offers the opportunity to influence business performance at both an operational and strategic level, ensuring geological excellence supports the safe and profitable extraction of our resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead all geology activities across underground mining operations.

- Oversee grade control processes to maximise ore recovery and minimise dilution.

- Develop and maintain geological models and interpretations.

- Provide geological input into mine planning, budgeting and strategic business decisions.

- Drive continuous improvement in geological systems, processes and reporting.

- Lead, mentor and develop geology teams, fostering a high-performance culture.

- Support recruitment, succession planning and capability development within the department.

- Collaborate closely with Mining, Processing, Technical Services and corporate teams.

- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.

About You





You are a respected geological professional with a track record of leadership in underground mining operations and a passion for developing people.

You will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Geology or Earth Sciences.

- Significant experience within underground gold mining operations.

- Demonstrated exposure in underground mining environments.

- Strong resource development and grade control experience.

- Proven leadership capability with experience building and leading successful teams.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.

- Experience with geological modelling and mine geology software packages.

- A commitment to safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
