REDEEM SKILLS RECRUITMENT SOLUTIONS REDEEM SKILLS RECRUITMENT SOLUTIONS (RECRUITER) on behalf of Banth Enterprises 786 Pty Ltd trading as Motel Goolwa Motel Goolwa is seeking a motivated and experienced Chef to join our full-time kitchen team at our onsite Jack's Place Café. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, supporting menu development, and contributing to the efficient operation of our busy café, which serves motel guests and the local community.

Task & responsibilities Plan, prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications. Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control. Estimate food requirements and assist in ordering supplies.

Inspect food preparation and storage to ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Assist in developing seasonal menus and daily specials. Supervise kitchen assistants where required.

Minimise food wastage and maintain effective stock rotation. Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Food Safety Standards.

Qualification & experience AQF Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management,



or an equivalent overseas qualification recognised as comparable under the Australian Qualifications Framework. Minimum 12 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) post-qualification experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen is preferred. Have a current certificate of Australian food safety and hygiene standards.

Ability to maintain a clean, organised and compliant commercial kitchen. A robust dedication to long-term employment is preferrable. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks in a commercial kitchen environment.

Availability to work weekends, evenings and public holidays on a rotating roster. Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents and eligible full work rights visa holder are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be willing to relocate to Goolwa, South Australia, if not already residing in the region.

Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing an exceptional dining experience.
